Because of the amount of work needed to open and inspect email files for errors, ScanDBX can be memory intensive when it is used to fix large email files. While ScanDBX has been optimized to minimize the amount of memory necessary, the physical requirements of scanning large files can still cause the memory load to be high. If your computer has a small amount of memory, this will result in slower performance, because the operating system will use the hard drive for memory storage.
In our tests involving a 2 GB file on a modern computer (P4 3.2 GHz with 2 GB of RAM), a repair takes about 15 minutes and uses a maximum of about 90 MB of RAM.
